Jessica has updated her Weibo thanking fans for showing up to support her during an appearance at Lane Crawford‘s 1st anniversary event in Shanghai. The show was the first appearance by Jessica in public after being removed from Girls’ Generation.
UPDATE: An earlier piece of this article mentioned that Jessica had re-added “Girls Generation” to her tag. This is false, as she cannot remove this piece of text from her profile. We apologize, as we had confused this with the “SNSD” tag that was removed.
We reported earlier today that Jessica was spotted at the event giving her first interview as the CEO of BLANC & ECLARE. Now, the artist and designer has taken to Weibo to thank her adoring fans that showed up to support her.
However, what caused fans to look further was that Jessica re-added the tag “Girls Generation” to her account.
In the interview Jessica reveals, “I’m going to be taking it step by step in the fashion industry .. I did not lose my passion for the entertainment industry, so for my fans, there are a lot of great things in the works.”
Her Weibo posts echoes her interview answer reading, “I was so amazed by all the fans that came out yesterday. Thank you sooooo much
You guys are the ones that keep me going & I promise I won’t let you down. I’m not going anywhere, I’ll be back…clean slate
