When K-Pop groups disband or certain members end up leaving a group, the members usually end on pretty good terms and maintain a good relationship with each other. However, there have been moments when K-Pop idols decided to call out their former groupmates. Here are four of these moments.

1. Former BOYS24 member Sunghyun dissing Hwayoung

Hwayoung faced backlash when an audio clip got leaked, and he was heard making some negative comments about fans, such as saying that he hates getting called “oppa” by fans.

I like being called oppa, not when I hear it from fans though, I fucking hate that. Ya, F*ck. It’s so annoying when we do the Hi-Touch.

You know, the Hi-Touch? Like when you hold hands and greet fans after the concert is over. Everyday I go through like 700~800 people and I feel like I’m going to puke.

Their fucking breath smells like sh*t.

This caused his image to take a hit, and he was soon kicked out of BOYS24. Around a month after this incident occurred, BOYS24 was holding a concert, and there was a special stage where they covered Wonder Girls‘ “Nobody” and “So Hot.

During the performance of “So Hot”, Sunghyun rapped his own lyrics instead of the original ones from the song. In the lyrics, he stated that he likes being called “oppa“, which many assumed was a shot directed at Hwayoung.

I’m so hot, the thing I like hearing the most from my fans is being called oppa.

2. Former ILUV member Shin Minah speaking up against some of her former groupmates

Shin Minah

Shin Minah recently came out and revealed that she had been bullied by several of the members of ILUV. Shin Minah debuted as a member of ILUV in 2019 but ended up leaving the group not long after their debut. The group ended up disbanding in 2020, and some of the ILUV members then debuted in a group called BOTOPASS.

ILUV

Shin Minah stated that the bullying caused her to develop multiple health problems and that she even attempted suicide due to them.

As you all know, I have depression, panic disorder, and insomnia. The reason for suffering from depression, panic disorder, and insomnia is that they have gone through unfair and painful things.

Because there were people who made me sick and tormented me to live in hell.

— Shin Minah

BOTOPASS

After Shin Minah made this statement, WKS ENE Entertainment, which the company that ILUV was a part of, and the one that BOTOPASS is under, denied the claims made by her. Since then, the two have been going back and forth with each other over the claims made.

3. Former U-KISS member AJ claiming that the other members “blocked his future”

In 2019, former U-KISS member AJ, who now goes by Siyoon, responded to a fan’s question regarding if he still talked to the U-KISS members. He answered the question by stating, “Do you talk to people who have irrationally blocked your path, your future?“.

He then made another post, where he claimed that his coworkers, the other U-KISS members, were irrational and that they neglected him.

A lot of fans were left confused and wanted some more explanation, but Siyoon didn’t respond to them.

4. Former Fiestar member Cheska stating that Yezi and Jei were bullies

Cheska

Cheska recently held a live stream on her Twitch channel, where she revealed some details about her time in Fiestar. She shared that the Fiestar members got bullied by Yezi and Jei.

Cheska also shared that the members would often fight over nothing and that they never reconciled with each other after these fights.

We would fight for like, the stupidest reasons, like, uh, from misunderstanding each other.

So I’d always be the one who would go up to them and be like ‘I think we misunderstood each other, I’m sorry for misunderstanding you. They would never say sorry to me. I would always be like I’m sorry for this, and they’d be like ‘ok’. Like they wouldn’t talk to me at all.

And then I’d be like, I feel like we should talk more, I feel like we should communicate more, cause for me, I feel like communicating is like, the number one solution to problems, so I’d be like ‘I think we should communicate’ and the person would be like ‘no. I don’t want to talk to you’. That’s what they’d be like, ‘we have nothing to talk about, I have nothing to talk about with you,’ and I’m over here like ‘what, we have so much to talk about cause we misunderstood each other’.

— Cheska

Cheska also stated that everyone got bullied in the group except for Yezi and Jei.

Linzy is pretty. Linzy was nice, but she also got bullied a few times, like I have.

Everyone got bullied once or twice, except for Yezi and Jei.
