Actor So Ji Sub Reportedly Set For His First K-Drama Since His Marriage

This would be his first K-Drama in 4 years.

Actor So Ji Sub is reportedly set to make his K-Drama comeback and his first show since his marriage to announcer Cho Eun Jung.

According to an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports, So Ji Sub will be making his K-Drama comeback after four years with MBC‘s medical-legal K-Drama Dr. Lawyer. The drama will be a heartwarming drama showing the comfort that victims can feel as the wealthy and powerful are punished for trying to abuse their status.

So Ji Sub would play the role of Han Yi Han, a double board-certified genius who is a medical litigation lawyer. He is certified in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, and is the ace at the Banseok University Hospital. While he has to work extremely hard due to a shortage of staff, he continues to make both his patients and colleagues feel comfortable thanks to his natural cheerfulness and relaxing smile.

In response to the report, So Ji Sub’s agency 51K stated that Dr. Lawyer is one of the offers he has received, and is considering accepting the role.

This would be So Ji Sub’s first K-Drama since My Secret Terrius in 2018, and his first work since getting married to announcer Cho Eun Jung in 2020. Dr. Lawyer will be written by Class of Lies writer Jang Hong Chul. It is in discussions to air on MBC in early 2022.
