BLACKPINK’s Rosé Sets The Record For Most Album Pre-Orders By A Female Soloist

A new record for Rosé!

BLACKPINK‘s Rosé has set the record for the most pre-orders for a physical album by a female soloist in Korea, with over 400,000 pre-orders!

According to YG Entertainment‘s press release, Rosé surpassed 400,000 pre-orders for her debut solo album R on March 8, just four days after the pre-orders started. The pre-order figure includes orders from around the world, as requests for pre-orders from regions such as China, Southeast Asia, the United States, Japan, and Europe have all been high.

In addition, the number of pre-orders is expected to increase even more as there are still more teasers scheduled for Rosé’s album. And the interest continues to grow as to just how high Rosé’s record will reach!

Rosé’s global influence, not only on her own but also with BLACKPINK, is showing — with her powerful fandom propelling her to new records. Her first solo album R will be released on March 12, 2pm KST or midnight EST. The title track “On The Ground” features a mysterious sound and instrumental arrangements, flourishing with a cool drop and Rosé’s elegant vocals.
