BTS’s Jungkook Has Added A New Tattoo To His Sleeve

It is believed to have been added this year.

Fans have spotted a new tattoo on BTS‘s Jungkook, and it has some wondering how many more mysteries he has up his sleeve. Literally.

In summer 2019, Jungkook achieved his teenage dream of getting tattoos. More than ten tatts now cover his right arm from his fingers…

…all the way up to his shoulder. Since Jungkook hasn’t talked about his ink, no one knows exactly how many tattoos he has or what the stories behind them are.

On June 14, fans spotted a previously unseen tattoo when BTS left their virtual BANG BANG CON: THE LIVE concert. At the time, there was some debate about whether this red eye tattoo was new or if it had been well-hidden since 2019.

Now, footage from BTS’s 5th Muster DVD has confirmed that the tattoo was indeed added later on. BTS performed their 5th Muster shows in November and December last year, and Jungkook did not have his red eye tattoo at the time.

Most recently, the red eye can be seen in Episode 2 of In the SOOP, albeit blurred.

Why an eye? What does it mean? We might never know for sure, but here are some possible meanings to consider for the rest of Jungkook’s sleeve.
