BTS‘s Jungkook has been using his star power and influence to raise up other talented artists. Artists like Justin Park, who has been grinding for years to make his dreams come true.
Whenever Jungkook personally promotes something he loves, it triggers what could be called, “The Jungkook Effect” (not to be confused with “The Jimin Effect“). Within hours, items sell out, topics trend, songs take over charts, and more!
Last December, Jungkook shared Justin Park’s 2018 song “On The Low” in an Instagram story. At the time, Jungkook had amassed 24.7 million followers on the platform. Thanks to him, many ARMYs were hearing Justin Park’s music for the first time.
In a new interview with Bandwagon, the 24-year-old Korean-American singer discussed his new single “Mi Vida,” the “On The Low” renaissance, and more. After Jungkook posted his story, “On The Low” trended online and topped music charts. The music video now has 2.8 million views.
Justin Park said that his reaction to it all was “far more intense” than people might guess. He was so overwhelmed that he “literally cried.”
I mean anyone can imagine what my reaction was, but I’m telling you it was FAR more intense than what you think. I literally cried. I laugh, cried if that makes sense hahaha.

Since Justin Park found out about Jungkook’s story at 4 AM, he had no one to share the exciting news with.
I tried to call a bunch of people to no response because it was four in the morning.

“I literally couldn’t contain myself,” he went on. “so I just stayed up all night working on my socials making sure that everyone knew that this just happened because I was so damn proud.”
After five years of working on his first album, PLACES LIKE HOME, Justin Park officially debuted in 2018 and has been working hard to advance his career ever since. Jungkook’s post was just the boost he needed!
