Choi Woo Shik to Officially Make His Hollywood Debut Following the Success of “Parasite”

It’s set to start filming this coming spring.

According to the American media company, Collider, Choi Woo Shik will soon make his Hollywood debut following the success of Bong Joon Ho‘s Parasite.

It’s been reported that Choi Woo Shik is set to star in a film called Past Lives, under the distributing agency, A24.

Past Lives is a romance about a man and a woman who first met as children in Korea, and reunited again as adults following a long time apart.

Celine Song is both the writer and director for the film, and she’ll be working alongside American producers Scott Rudin and Eli Bush.

Although A24 is a relatively recent film distributor, they’ve already built quite a reputation through films such as Moonlight, Florida Project, and Room.

Choi Woo Shik recently attended the SAG Awards with his fellow Parasite cast and took home the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture Award. The film has also been nominated for 6 Academy Awards.

Choi Woo Shik’s very first Hollywood film, Past Lives will begin filming this coming spring.
