EXO’s Sehun Will Not Be Accepting Fan Gifts Anymore, Here’s Why

First, Xiumin and now Sehun too! Why is EXO turning down fan gifts?

On February 16th, EXO’s Sehun wrote on the official EXO-L fan site that he will no longer accept fan gifts.

He wrote:

Hi, this is Sehun.

I hope you’re staying warm this winter.
Stay healthy. That’s the most important thing.

It’s been a while since I wrote anything on EXO-L.
But today I wanted to share something with you,
something that I’ve been thinking about for a while.

So… looking back, I realize how much love I’ve gotten
and I’m forever grateful for the support from my fans.

And it got me thinking, what if I could share that love with a lot of people?
Wouldn’t we all benefit from sharing the good with the world?

I mean, I try my best to be a helpful person, whenever I get the chance.

So I’d like to suggest that we share all this love with those in need.
I have faith that it will, in the end, make us all happy.

There are people who must be looked after.
So from now on, on my birthday, I do not wish to receive gifts.
They say it’s the thought that counts and that’s enough for me.

Instead, it would make me a lot happier if you could share with those in need.
That would truly make my birthday a lot better and a lot more meaningful.
I know this decision will make you proud, and when you share, it will make me proud too.

Thank you so much for everything. And thank you for reading.
Again, stay healthy. Spend quality time with your family.
Happy New Year!

Sehun isn’t the only EXO member to make this decision. Fellow members Xiumin, Chen, D.O., and Lay have all shared similar announcements in the past.

EXO members continue to inspire their fans with their thoughtfulness.
