JYJ’s Yoochun Facing $90,000 Lawsuit For Sexual Assault Damages, Provisional Attachment Granted

His apartment has been seized.

JYJ‘s Yoochun is reportedly facing a 100 million won ($90,000 USD) lawsuit for sexual assault damages.

On December 13, 2018, Yoochun was sued by a woman (S) who claimed to have been sexually assaulted by him on December 16, 2016. She was the second woman to sue him for sexual assault.

S requested a provisional attachment of Yoochun’s apartment in Samsung-dong, which was granted on March 12. This means that Yoochun will not be able to sell or transfer the apartment during the duration of the lawsuit.

Yoochun’s lawsuit was previously concluded as a false accusation, but according to YTN Star, a civil suit is still in progress and there is still time left in S’s statute of limitations.

S’s lawyer stated that their civil suit was delayed as they were waiting for an apology from Yoochun, which they eventually never received.

S was waiting for Yoochun’s voluntary apology and self-reflection so the civil suit was delayed as long as possible. However, he had no signs of regret and therefore, we have decided to proceed with the lawsuit.

Yoochun was involved in numerous sexual assault scandals in 2016. His agency stated that if any of the accusations were proven to be true, Yoochun would retire from the entertainment industry. However, he was acquitted on all 4 lawsuits he faced including his rape charges in 2017.
