Kim Hyun Joong faces new lawsuit from ex-girlfriend for nearly $1 million USD

Following last year’s physical offense charges that were filed against singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong by his ex-girlfriend, who is now expectant with his first child, is being faced with another lawsuit of one billion Korean won, nearly $1 million U.S. Dollars.

On May 4th, a third party news outlet released information that was circling the judicial pool regarding Choi, Kim Hyun Joong’s ex-girlfriend, suing the star for a compensation of damages of approximately $925,155 USD.

According to the information, the reason behind the lawsuit is for the emotional distress that Choi received due to the discord and conflicts that arose between herself and the star after finding out that she was pregnant with his child.

On this day, however, Kim Hyun Joong’s attorney, Lee Jae Man, made an official statement regarding the new lawsuit that was filed by Choi and said, “We have received the processed lawsuit made by Ms. Choi and are seeking for ways to properly correspond.”

When asked about whether or not both sides would settle to an agreement on this case, Lee responded, “This is not something we are going to settle on. We are planning on taking firm actions against this lawsuit and if necessary, we will be willingly ready to counter-sue.

Meanwhile, Choi has filed for another lawsuit against netizens, stating that the comments made of her online by netizens are slander and defamation of character.
