The event was scheduled to be both in-person and streamed online, with the in-person audience having to follow strict COVID-19 regulations. However, in a statement posted by Starship Entertainment to the group’s official social media platforms, they had to suddenly cancel the event due to new local guidelines.

Hello. This is Starship Entertainment.

We regret to announce that the MONSTA X 5th OFFICIAL FANCLUB MONBEBE FAN-CONCERT <MX UNIVERSITY> offline concert schedule to be held in YES24 LIVEHALL on March 6(Sat), 7(Sun), has been canceled.

We have been preparing the offline concert in while following with the guidelines of the government and local authorities regarding the COVID-19 social distancing, temperature checks, medical questionnaire and wearing a mask. […]

However, despite the social distance stage maintenance, further guidelines from local authorities have not been confirmed. Later the local authorities suddenly decided that we must follow the prohibition of any meeting and gathering [of] more than 100 people in the metropolitan area mandatory quarantine guidelines. It is unavoidable that we decided to cancel the offline concert.
