Song Ji Hyo revealed that her relationships on Running Man inspired her acting for her upcoming romantic comedy film, “What a Man Wants”.

What a Man Wants is an adult comedy that revolves around 4 unique characters who seek adventure and love.

The film tells the story of Seok Geun (played by Lee Sung Min), who is a womanizer of 20 years, Bong Soo (played by Shin Ha Kyun), Seok Geun’s brother-in-law who indulges himself in the world of affairs, Mi Young (played by Song Ji Hyo), who becomes obsessed with SNS, and Jenny (played by Lee El), a woman with a seductive charm.

In the film, Song Ji Hyo plays the role of actor Lee Sung Min’s younger sister and actor Shin Ha Kyun’s wife.

At the press preview, she explained that she didn’t have to look far to gain inspiration for her roles in the film.

“I didn’t have to look far to understand the relationships of an 8-year-long marriage and siblings. I just looked at the program I’ve been doing for 9 years (Running Man).” ㅡ Song Ji Hyo

She explained that she tried to make her relationships with Lee Sung Min and Shin Ha Kyun look more realistic by not only talking about good things but also saying unpleasant things and even complaining as well.

She emphasized that she tried to act as realistic as possible by looking into the relationships she already has.

“I didn’t have to look too far since I had my family and the relationships from my program to turn to. I tried to act realistically by looking at the relationships around me.” ㅡ Song Ji Hyo
