HYBE Labels has made TIME Magazine‘s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2021!
The 100 Most Influential Companies list is divided into 5 categories: Pioneers, Leaders, Innovators, Titans, and Disruptors. The list highlights businesses that are making an impact around the world. They selected contenders across different sections such as health care, transportation, entertainment, and more. TIME then evaluated the companies based on their relevance, innovation, impact, ambition, leadership, and success.
Some examples from the categories are:
Leaders: NBA, Twitter, Sony, Johnson & Johnson
Innovators: Nintendo, Netflix, Zoom, Ikea, Adidas
Titans: Amazon, Google, Walmart, Tencent, Disney
Disruptors: DoorDash, OnlyFans, Robinhood, Tesla, GoFundMe
In the Pioneers category sits companies such as Savage X Fenty, Roblox, Headspace, Beyond Meat, and our very own K-Pop entertainment agency, HYBE!
HYBE, as many know, is a music and entertainment empire originally called Big Hit Entertainment (although Big Hit still exists under HYBE). The company includes K-Pop giants like BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, GFRIEND, NU’EST, and more. Not to mention, the label recently acquired the American label, Ithaca Holdings, which is home to Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
Like Disney before it, HYBE looks at each of its acts as intellectual property to be developed into a universe of fan-friendly experiences and products. In the case of BTS, that’s meant everything from logos on Samsung smartphones to virtual Fortnite parties.
