X1 Will Reportedly Not Be Able To Debut On “Music Bank” As Planned

Mnet’s voting scandal is affecting their debut.

X1 made their long-awaited debut with their debut album “QUANTUM LEAP” but reports claim that they will not be able to hold a debut performance on Music Bank as planned.

All of the debuting groups from the Produce 101 series (I.O.I, Wanna One, and IZ*ONE) all appeared on the music show during their debut week but multiple insiders claim that X1 will not be able to follow on the tradition.

The reason comes from accusations that claim PRODUCE X 101 rigged the final votes for the debuting members. The police are currently investigating Mnet and the production staff, and they recently found an audio recording of one of the producers talking about rigging the votes of multiple seasons.

Produce X 101 previously commented about the false results, saying that the numbers shown were not the real numbers, but the ranking would not have changed. In response, a politician called out the show, demanding an investigation, and many experts commented on how the final numbers were nearly impossible to achieve

There are no abnormalities in the final ranks (including the X), but there was an error in the delivery of the final votes announced during the broadcast.

Industry experts believe that the music shows that air on national TV will most likely decline X1’s performances until the police finish their investigation. Nothing has been said about MBC’s Music Core and SBS’s Inkigayo.

X1 has officially debuted through their Skydome debut showcase-concert. Check out their debut music video for “FLASH” below:
