ARMY Discovered A Mind-Blowing Connection Between “IDOL” And A Famous British Artist

BTS = intellectuals.

Eagle-eyed BTS fans discovered a subtle reference in the “IDOL” MV that connects it to Damien Hirst.

Damien Hirst is a British contemporary artist, who uses installation, sculpture, painting, and drawing to explore the relationship between art, life, and death.

In 1991, this artist began a famous installation series called “Natural History” that preserved the bodies of real creatures in glass tanks filled with formaldehyde to create a zoo of dead animals.

He unveiled his most famous piece in the series, “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living”, at the Saatchi Gallery in 1992. This shark piece went on to become one of the most iconic pieces of modern British art in the 1990s.

Art-loving BTS fans couldn’t help noticing the resemblance between Damien Hirst’s shark piece and this  “IDOL” scene.

In it, BTS dances in a white-trimmed, glass box while a larger than life shark swims in the background, outside of it.

Once you’ve seen the resemblance, it’s impossible to unsee it. Moreover, some fans feel that the Damien Hirst’s fascination with mortality fits right with BTS’s own exploration of fleeting life, fame, and youth in “IDOL” and many of their previous works.
