BTS’s Jungkook’s Director Instincts Resurface In “Time Difference” Photo Shoot

He defined the differences of a vampire by day and night.

BTS‘s Jungkook showed his meticulous attention to detail during his Me Myself and Jungkook “Time Difference” Photo Shoot on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel.

Jungkook’s talents extend beyond singing, dancing, and composing music. He was praised for his stellar efforts as videographer and director of their “Life Goes On” MV, which was released in four versions, all directed by Jungkook. This time around, for his Me Myself and Jungkook “Time Difference” photo folio, Jungkook played a very active role in ensuring the vampire concept he chose for the photobook is executed flawlessly.

He monitored the shots closely to ensure that the shots were attuned to his visual concept.

It was his idea to do a conceptual photo shoot, sharing that he wanted to do a fantasy-like concept. He got into the vampire concept with a hands-on approach, paying attention to every minute detail.

Using glitter on his skin for the “vampire in the daytime” shoots was his idea, because he said a vampire’s skin shines when exposed to sunlight.

Jungkook asked his stylists to change his looks and styling to show his transition from a weak to a stronger vampire. When he switched to his strong vampire persona, his hair was longer; his eyes were in a different shade of contacts. At night, his vampire persona was given a more alluring and mysterious vibe.

His lips had to look bloodied and a bit swelled. The stylists used lipstick tricks to depict Jungkook as a vampire who just feasted on human blood.

Jungkook shared other nuances of vampires that he included in the shoot, such as the yellow cast in the eyes of a vampire who has not drank human blood yet, as opposed to the red eyes of a vampire who already did. It’s exciting that these incredible details will be seen in his photo folio.

He experimented with different eye shades of contacts to see which shade would look more fitting for a scene.

Of course, the mysterious and sexy vampire turned cute when the shoot was over.
