BTS‘s youngest member can always count on his hyungs to look after him!
In Episode 140 of Run BTS!, BTS collaborated with tvN‘s The Game Caterers and producer Na Young Suk. For the “Figure Quiz”, the members had to correctly identify celebrities and famous characters by their photos. This was easier said than done!
The members were given no time to think about their responses. They had to answer immediately, and Na Young Suk was much stricter about giving out points than the Run BTS! producers usually were. “We’ve basically been in kindergarten all this time,” Suga joked.
Originally, Jungkook was supposed to be the last member to answer, but he felt too “pressured.” “Can we please switch spots?” he quietly asked Suga. “Being last is too much pressure.”
Without hesitation, Suga took Jungkook’s place. When Na Young Suk asked why they had swapped spots, Jungkook explained the situation. Jokingly, Suga said, “You’re leaving all the pressure on me? What is this?” but he didn’t ask to switch back. After all, this is what older “brothers” do for their younger ones.
Later on, after BTS had switched spots again, Suga checked in on Jungkook, who was back in the hot seat, rocking nervously. “Do you want me to go first?” Suga asked. “Jungkook, are you okay with going last?”
Jungkook explained that the game was stressful for him because he didn’t have any time to “cool down.” It was difficult to think of answers when he felt tense.
Like Suga, Jimin had the Golden Maknae’s best interests at heart. He soothed Jungkook with reassuring words and gentle pats. “Relax,” he said. “It’s okay if you get it wrong.”
At times, Jungkook struggled to give the right answers, but after the game, he asked the staff to let him try again. Without any pressure to win, he had no problem naming the celebrities and characters shown to him.
In the past, Jungkook has said that he feels shy around strangers, but even among friends he can still freeze sometimes.
