6 Korean Celebrity Marriages That Make Us Believe in Love Again

We believe in these couples!

With the news of Goo Hyesun and Ahn Jaehyun’s impending divorce as well as Song Joong Ki and Song Hyekyo’s finalized divorce, fans around the world couldn’t help but feel a little upset.

Many felt their belief in love break with the dissolution of two high-profile relationships.

Despite the sad news, there are still many celebrity couples whose relationships are going strong after many years. Here are a few who make us believe in love again:

1. Big Bang’s Taeyang and Min Hyorin

To start off the list is of course, Taeyang and Min Hyorin whose love story sounds like it came straight from a movie.

The two are said to have fallen in love when Hyorin starred in the music video of Taeyang’s song “1AM.”

Hyorin is famously known to be Taeyang’s first and only girlfriend. They are still in close contact despite Taeyang serving in the military for his mandatory service.

2. FT Island’s Minhwan and Yulhee

This is a relatively new couple consisting of FT Island’s drummer Choi Minhwan and LABOUM’s former member Yulhee.

The two first met when Yulhee and her group gave their album to FT Island, with Minhwan sitting uninterested in the corner. Yulhee couldn’t keep her eyes off him even then. They eventually went on a blind date together after two years, where Minhwan famously said:

Chubby, do you want to be mine?

Soyul, meanwhile, explained in KBS‘ “The Return of Superman:

This wasn’t always so as HaHa and Byul dated for 6 years in secret before they got married in 2012. Despite the secrecy, they were happily accepted as a couple by the public.

On July 2018, HaHa revealed that in the six years he lived with Byul, they rarely fought.

When we quarreled, I realized that my wife was [usually] the right person. I accepted and considered it a suggestion to change my wrong actions, so that a fight would not occur.
